2. Working Principle
Switch control: Rotate the valve stem by the handle or actuator to drive the ball to rotate 90°, aligning the through hole with the pipe (open) or perpendicular (close).
Sealing method: Zero leakage is achieved by the close contact between the ball and the sealing ring, and it is suitable for low to medium pressure systems.
3. Core Features
Corrosion resistance: Suitable for acid, alkali, salt solutions and some organic solvents, avoiding the rusting problem of metal valves.
Lightweight and economical: It weighs only 1/5 of metal valves, has a low cost, and is suitable for budget-sensitive projects.
Low flow resistance: The full-bore design reduces fluid resistance and is suitable for high-flow scenarios.
Temperature limit: Generally applicable from -10℃ to 60℃. It is prone to deformation at high temperatures and should be protected from open flames.
I. International Common Standards
ISO 16135
"Thermoplastic Ball Valves for Industrial Valves"
The requirements for the design, materials, pressure-temperature grades, test methods, etc. of thermoplastic ball valves such as PVC are specified, and they are applicable to industrial fluid systems.
ASTM standard
ASTM D1784: Standard for PVC Materials, defining the grades and mechanical properties (such as tensile strength and temperature resistance) of PVC resins.
ASTM F1970: Pressure Test Standard for Plastic Valves, covering the test methods for pressure resistance and sealing performance of PVC ball valves.
NSF/ANSI 61
Drinking water system certification: Ensure that the PVC ball valve material is non-toxic and meets the safety requirements for drinking water contact (such as essential for market access in the United States and Canada).
